Tahiti Lamp, Ettore Sottsass for Memphis Milano
Ettore Sottsass founded Memphis Milano in 1980, subverting principles of modernity and minimalism to develop a bold aesthetic inspired by the art deco and pop art movements. Designed by Sottsass in 1981, the Tahiti table lamp comprises a range of geometric shapes. The design sits on a plastic laminate bacterio-patterned base, with a pink and red duck-shaped rotating head executed in polychrome metal. It measures 70cm H x 35cm W x 10cm D.
