Flamingo Table, Michele De Lucchi for Memphis Milano
Ettore Sottsass founded Memphis Milano in 1980, subverting principles of modernity and minimalism to develop a bold aesthetic inspired by the art deco and pop art movements. Created by Memphis Milano member Michele De Lucchi in 1984, the Flamingo coffee table is constructed of plastic laminate and lacquered wood. Combining a variety of geometric shapes, the angular design features a black and white graphic print, with the table's surface protruding from the upper half of the silhouette. A green rod adds visual height to the overall form. The table measures 90cm H x 35cm W x 50cm D.
