The New Balance 550 ‘Burnt Orange’ delivers a simplistic two-tone colorway of the vintage basketball shoe that originally released in 1989. The low-top sports a white leather upper with dull orange accents throughout. They include the raised ‘N’ that decorates the quarter panel, the Flying NB logo stamped on the heel, and the woven New Balance tag stitched atop the tongue. A suede overlay in a light grey finish reinforces the forefoot. Anchoring the sneaker is a traditional rubber cupsole, featuring an exposed foam wedge on the medial side.
