Founded by Nigo in Tokyo in 1993, BAPE’s distillation of bold colors and graphics helped define the style of ’90s and early 2000s hip-hop, worn by artists such as Pharrell Williams, Lil Wayne and the Notorious B.I.G. The brand remains one of streetwear’s most influential voices today, distinguished by its Ape Head motif and 1ST CAMO print.
