Air Hyperflight

Following his death, designer Eric Avar reflected on the life and work of Bill Bowerman—the track coach-turned Swoosh entrepreneur with a knack for innovating athletic footwear. Avar's forthcoming design, the Nike Air Hyperflight, released in 2001 as an ultra-lightweight performance basketball sneaker. This black and white edition plays up the futuristic feel of the design with a glossy finish and Zoom Air cushioning.
