In the mid-1900s, Bill Bowerman reinvented running shoes in the US. Dubbed 'Nike's original innovator,' Bowerman used his wife's waffle iron to shape the sole of his shoes. Because of his unrivaled influence, Nike released the Bowerman Line in the 90s. The collection featured the Air Skylon 2, the first running shoe to transition into a lifestyle staple. Now in retro form, Air Skylon 2 'Armory Navy' features a mesh upper with leather and nubuck overlays cast in a futuristic, multicolor palette.
