In May 2017, Guo Ailun signed a deal with the Jordan Brand, effectively becoming the first Chinese player to join the fold. The Air Jordan 33 'Guo Ailun' PE is a kids'-sized takedown of the adult shoe that was released in April 2019. To honor Ailun, this rendition includes a white, quilted panel at the tongue and black Chinese characters on the pull tab. This version retains the modern FastFit entry and knit upper of the original AJ33, first seen in 2018.
