Needles founder Keizo Shimizu took the Needles name from the idea of “Need Less,” meaning to simplify design to the raw essentials. Mining cultural artifacts from the ’60s and ’70s, seasonal collections apply cut-and-sew techniques to Americana and military archetypes. Distinguished by the butterfly and multi-stripe motifs, today Needles’ creative output spans apparel, accessories and more.
