Issey Miyake
Born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1938, Issey Miyake moved to France in 1965 where he honed his technical expertise under Guy Laroche and Hubert de Givenchy. Celebrated for his relentless pursuit of innovation, the designer’s eponymous house developed groundbreaking lines including A-POC (A Piece of Cloth) and Pleats Please. Today, Miyake’s singular creative vision continues to inform a vast product universe consisting of apparel, jewelry, fragrances and more.
