Supreme by James Jebbia
Since opening its doors in 1994, Supreme has ascended from Downtown New York skate brand to global powerhouse, establishing a reputation for its alumni of skaters and irreverent use of cultural references. Today, the brand is best known for blurring the lines between streetwear and luxury, collaborating with labels like Nike, Louis Vuitton and Yohji Yamamoto to shape modern aesthetics. The self-titled volume, published by Rizzoli in 2010, looks back on the label's first 16 years. Consisting of 304 pages, the hardcover book includes an introduction from cultural critic Glenn O'Brien and an interview between KAWS and founder James Jebbia, as well as countless archival photographs and graphics.
