In 1978, Australian surfer Brian Smith and Doug Jensen founded UGG in Southern California. The brand’s sheepskin boots provided warmth after sessions in the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean, quickly gaining momentum among the state’s surf community. Today, UGGs are worn beyond shorelines and produced in an expansive range of styles, from the 805x to the Tasman Slip-On.
