The Air Max 98 'On Air: NYC La Mezcla' sneaker was designed by New York native Gabrielle Serrano as part of the capsule collection from the Nike: On Air contest, released in April 2019. 'Mezcla,' the Spanish word for ‘mixing,’ can be seen through its ombre panel, representing the diverse complexions of the city's rich multiculturalism. The synthetic upper is trimmed by a cracked grey leather mudguard, a nod to the Concrete Jungle.
