Limited during its initial release, the Air Jordan 22 ‘Basketball Leather’ is constructed with the texture of a basketball on the upper. Created by Jordan designer and PENSOLE founder D’Wayne Edwards, the shoe also implements a customizable heel cushioning system where consumers can choose Zoom Air or Nike Air cushioning. Independent Podular System is still utilized for forefoot cushioning, with a titanium shank plate offers stability. The general design inspiration of the AJ22 stems from the F-22 Raptor fighter jet.
