Gufram is an avant-garde furniture label that champions abstract and radical design. Created by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello in 1972 for the Italian firm, the Cactus was conceived as a playful take on a coat rack, reimagining a saguaro's arms as a piece of functional home furnishing. The item is made with polyurethane foam and coated with the firm's proprietary Guflac paint, making the outer layer feel like soft leather while remaining flexible. Each Cactus features 2,165 indented tips for a textured feel. This Guframini version of the iconic design is rendered at 1:8 scale of the original while faithfully recreating even the most minute details, including the 2,165 surface indentations. This edition revisits the "Metacactus" colorway from 2012 and measures 26cm H x 10cm W x 10cm D. Celebrating the Cactus' 40th anniversary, the gradient finish fades from orange to green, recalling a plant scorched by the desert sun.
