Girls Don't Cry
Verdy founded Girls Don't Cry in 2017 as a tribute to his wife, taking the name from The Cure’s “Boys Don’t Cry,” her favorite song. The Japanese graphic designer perfected his custom typography in the label’s early days, inspired by the local punk and skate milieu. Today, Verdy’s signature font is present across Girls Don’t Cry’s seasonal collections, comprising apparel such as hoodies, tees, shirts and more.
