This special-edition Deerupt released as part of a larger collaboration between adidas and the manga / anime series Dragon Ball Z. The shoe’s tonal purple is inspired by the battle suit of the character Son Gohan. Underneath the silhouette’s trademark webbing overlay, reflective flash graphics reference the character’s transformation into Super Saiyan 2 form. On the heel, Kanji detailing denotes Son Gohan’s name, while the gum rubber outsole is reminiscent of the character’s footwear.
