The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Shadow 2.0' Flips the Colors of the Original
A 2021 update on a 1985 classic.
The Air Jordan 1 is the sneaker that started it all. Designed by Nike icon Peter Moore for a young Michael Jordan, the silhouette officially released in 1985 following its on-court debut by the rising superstar the year prior. During the sneaker’s first year of availability, Nike presented the Jordan 1 in 13 colorways, from the 'Banned' and 'Chicago' iterations to 'Royal' and 'Black Toe.'
Each has earned its rightful place in sneaker history, including the 'Shadow,' a subdued execution pairing a predominantly black upper with gray leather panels and a white midsole. A retro version of the OG 1985 colorway released in 2018, reigniting interest in the oft-overlooked Year One rendition.
