Boston sneaker retailer Concepts teamed up with ASICs in 2013 for this special edition Gel Lyte 3 'Three Lies’ colorway that pays tribute to a statue of John Harvard at Harvard University which features the inscription — ‘John Harvard, Founder, 1638’ – none of which is true. Every day students rub the statue for good luck, polishing the bronze toe box and causing it to change color. Mirroring this effect, the ‘Three Lies’ features a bronze perforated leather vamp and suede toe with green suede on the rest of the upper. It also comes with a quilted nylon lining and a speckled concrete-like midsole.
