Air Jordan 7 Retro OC 'Miro Olympic'
The design that adorns the ‘Miro Olympic’ edition of the Air Jordan 7 is inspired by Dona i Ocell (Woman and Bird), a famous sculpture in Barcelona by Spanish artist Joan Miró. The colorway, which dropped ahead of the Beijing Olympics, ties together several aspects of Olympic and art history. Michael Jordan wore the Air Jordan 7 when the Dream Team took gold at the Barcelona Games in 1992, while Barcelona is Miró’s birthplace. In a final nod to the theme, the heel of the shoe is marked with ‘9,’ Jordan’s jersey number during the 1992 Olympics.
