Skater, painter and photographer Ed Templeton is known for his contemporary artwork and founding the skateboarding brand Toy Machine. Published by Drago Arts & Communications in 2002, 'The Golden Age of Neglect' is an exploration of urban adolescent life and Los Angeles skate culture in the early 2000s. Touching on topics like sex, drug use, fashion and violence, the images serve as a time capsule and distillation of Templeton's signature visual style. Featuring 100 photos in both black and white and color, the book is a companion to “Ed Templeton – The Essential Disturbance,” an exhibition held at Paris' Palais de Tokyo.
