The Neymar Jr. x Shox R4 'Platinum Tint' was rolled out in May 2019 as a retro tribute to the star soccer player from Brazil. Launched in 2000, the Nike Shox R4 came to prominence with the 'Boing, Boing' TV commercials that highlighted the spring-like columns under the heel. This iteration displays a number of design elements honoring its signature inspiration, including several stitched Swooshes on the upper panels, print branding at the tongue and insole, and multiple Shox logos flipped 90 degrees to appear as 'N's.
