While the roots of the sport lie in the United States, the world’s oldest basketball court is actually in the Trévise gym in Paris. Created in 1893, Trévise is seen as the sport’s gateway into Europe. To honour this iconic site, Nike released two unique colorways of the Dunk Low in June 2018: ‘Ale Brown’ and ‘Elemental Gold.’ The ‘Ale Brown’ features herringbone detailing in reference to Trévise’s original parquet flooring, while thick string laces allude to the court’s nets. A commemorative plaque, located in the Paris gym, is replicated on the shoe’s tongue.
