The legacy of the Air Jordan 6 is defined by one word: winning. It was the sneaker Michael Jordan wore for his first of six NBA championships, shutting out the Detroit Pistons in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals before defeating Magic Johnson’s Los Angeles Lakers 4-1 in the Finals. Jordan finally got over the hump, cementing his status as an all-time great, and, as is often the case for His Airness’ sneakers, the AJ6 is forever associated with that triumphant moment.
