The shoe's name is a reference to the speed of gravitational acceleration near the Earth's surface (approximately 9.8 m/s²). This edition features a textile, suede and leather upper, CMEVA cushioning and Puma's Running System for support. Puma's Formstrip makes a subtle appearance on the sidewall above space-age-inspired sole bumps.
