Less than three months after the Air Jordan 4’s February 1989 release, Michael Jordan hit one of the most iconic shots of his career while wearing the sneaker. With seconds left in Game 5 of the 1989 Eastern Conference First Round, Jordan knocked the Cleveland Cavaliers out of the playoffs with a buzzer beater that came to be known as ‘The Shot.’ The sneaker’s cultural significance only grew after it was worn by Spike Lee’s character in Do The Right Thing, leading to countless colorways and iterations—including this preschool size ‘Green Glow’ Retro model.
