Rihachi Mizuno and his younger brother Rizo founded Mizuno in 1906 as a manufacturer of baseball equipment in Osaka, Japan. The brand later earned a reputation for its scientific approach to running shoes, developing landmark innovations such as the Wave plate. Today, Mizuno’s footwear designs balance sport and street culture, visible in the form of the Wave Rider, Spark and Sky Medal silhouettes.
