Released late December 2017, the Air Max 95 Essential 'Black Grey' symbolizes the transition from dark to light with its distinctive layers presented in gradient detailing. Nike designer Sergio Lozano was inspired by the human body when he created the original AM97, and this version captures his vision with its color continuum. White eyestay straps emanate from the midsole and are covered by horizontal overlays, emulating the spine, ribs and connecting muscle.
