Kapital was founded in Kojima, Japan’s “denim capital,” by Toshikiyo Hirata in 1984. Now under the creative direction of Toshikiyo’s son, Kiro, the label is renowned for perfecting the art of denim through a mix of traditional and avant-garde techniques. These practices are expressed in seasonal clothing collections, spanning shirts, jeans, socks, hats, bandanas and more.
