Tinker Hatfield handed creative direction to Wilson Smith III for the Air Jordan 16 in 2001. Considered one of the most influential models in Michael Jordan’s post-Chicago Bulls career, the silhouette is inspired by his transition from superstar player to President of the Washington Wizards. This theme informs a magnetic gaiter, or shroud, that can be worn attached to the upper in order to resemble a dress shoe or removed for a performance-driven, on-court style.
