Shadow 6000 Suede 'Irish Coffee'
In the winter of 1943, a flight departed from Foynes Air Base in County Limerick, Ireland, for Newfoundland, Canada, but was forced to turn back due to bad weather. To comfort the passengers, the head chef at the restaurant in the terminal building, Joe Sheridan, added a splash of Irish whiskey to their coffees, serving up the world’s first Irish coffee. In 2015, Saucony paid tribute to Sheridan’s invention with a three-shoe Irish Coffee Pack representing the three main ingredients: coffee, whiskey and cream. This Shadow 6000 Suede 'Irish Coffee’ is the cream iteration. It features a tonal cream Wolverine Silkee suede upper with perforated detailing, a crisp white EVA midsole and a rugged triangular lug rubber outsole.
