Nike’s Air Flight Huarache Premium ‘Trash Talk,’ released in December 2014, featuring a black leather build accented with metallic gold on a small forefoot panel and the Huarache tongue tag. More gold is seen on the ‘5x’s’ embroidered on the heel—an allusion to Michigan’s Fab Five, who wore the Air Flight Huarache throughout their freshman season in 1992. In addition to their play on the court, the Fab Five were known for their trash talking, a collective trait that’s celebrated on the etched tonal lettering on the shoe’s upper.
