In September 2019, Engineered Garments and New Balance presented a limited-edition 990v5 as a function of the Japanese label's distinctive tactility and American streetwear influence. This iteration in monochromatic navy holds a premium mixed-material upper, mismatched laces and signature 'N' patches. A rubberized tongue tag and co-branded insole authenticate the collaboration.
