Thomas Burberry founded his eponymous house in 1856 in Hampshire, England. Bringing gabardine—a weatherproof material developed by Burberry—to iconic styles such as the Trench Coat for the first time, Thomas and his namesake brand helped expand the possibilities of luxury fashion. The founder’s vision continues today under the creative direction of Riccardo Tisci, whose signature sensibilities are expressed seasonally across sneakers, apparel, accessories and more.
