Part of the 'Japan' series that honors the spirit of exploration, adidas Originals adds to their NMD series with the special-edition NMD_R1 'Japan - Night Cargo' shoe. This February 2019 take on the lifestyle sneaker takes a monochrome approach to its soft knit textile upper, accenting its olive build with tonal Three-Stripes branding and patch overlays. Inspired by Japanese railway maps, the design distinguishes itself underfoot‚—with Japanese characters dressing the heel tab, forefoot EVA midsole plug and the medial side of the Boost-equipped midsole.
