Nike Mag
Etched into culture through the 1989 film ‘Back to the Future Part II,’ the Nike Mag was made a reality in 2011. Overseen by sneaker icon Tinker Hatfield, the 2011 LED iteration aesthetically reflects its fictional movie counterpart, with the exception of the iconic self-lacing feature. In 2016, Nike solved the power lacing issue, using “adaptive fit” technology to sense the wearer and tighten or loosen accordingly. Today, both editions are revered within the worlds of footwear and design, serving as beacons of Nike’s innovation excellence.
