Andy Warhol explored the concept of camouflage between 1986 and 1987, creating colorful abstract paintings on canvas, board and paper. The abstract works are collectively defined as his camouflage paintings. These works were exhibited at Los Angeles-based Honor Fraser Gallery in 2010, culminating in the book 'Camouflage: Andy Warhol.' The catalog published by Honor Fraser chronicles Warhol's use of color, shape and print within this series, and includes an essay from co-founder and former co-head of the Andy Warhol Foundation, Vincent Fremont.
