Judging by the footwear of Hypefest attendees, Virgil Abloh continues to dominate the tastes of sneaker fans. The signature lettering and colorful tags that accompany the Off White x Nike editions were styled many ways throughout the weekend. Some paired it with neutral basics to maintain the focus on the shoe, while others matched their outfits to the sneaker’s neon detailing to ensure maximum impact. Blindingly bright colors were a major theme among Hypefest visitors, often with sneakers to match. Some donned full safety gear—complete with reflective strips—while others even extended their vivid palettes into their hair color. There were more subtle notes of color coordination too, with visitors matching the hues of sartorial details like laces, hats and scarfs. If it’s up to Hypefest fans, the future of the sneaker is looking bright.
